Planning New Cities – STEM Experience Day

At the start of the school holidays girls from Macquarie Fields High School and Cumberland High School spent a day exploring the Powerhouse Museum at our STEM Experience Day.

The girls are currently part of our STEM Program.

A big thank you to Celestino Developments for sponsoring this amazing day which included:

  • A Q&A panel of successful female role models working in STEM

  • Exploring The Invisible Revealed Exhibition at The Powerhouse Museum

  • An urban design problem solving activity based on Sydney Science Park, facilitated by Celestino.

We loved hearing from the girls about their experience of the day.

“Today I learnt about a lot of new careers that I didn’t know are in STEM, and it was really fun getting to know everyone, learning about our mentors and doing a hands on activity.”

“Today I learnt about new projects that I could go into in the future, and more pathways that I could take, other than just university.”
